MHS teacher, Mrs. Whiteside, was selected by the National Humanities Center to join a panel of elite educators to attend the Teaching African American Studies Summer Institute this week in North Carolina. The Mascoutah Police Department conducted active shooter training under the instruction of SILEC at MHS Friday. These exercises utilized staff and student volunteers as role players to create a more realistic training environment. MHS FBLA members recently attended the National Conference in Atlanta, GA, in June. Avery Beer, Emma Hurlahe, Olivia Lubang, and Savannah Smith all placed top 4 at the IL State Conference and proudly represented MHS at Nationals. Along with participating in leadership workshops, members connected with other students from across the U.S. and attended the FBA sponsored Night at the Georgia Aquarium. #19EveryStudent #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice
