MHS band and choir students recently represented our music program in four different All-State ensembles at this year's Illinois Music Education Conference. This year, the MHS Musical will be Something Rotten on Thursday March 30th, Friday March 31st, and April 1st in the MHS Auditorium! Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as, "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But, amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz! The MHS Ecology Club is participating in a Tree-Plenish event this school year on April 19th from 5-7pm. The goal of this event is to replenish enough trees to compensate for our school`s energy consumption. Our tree goal for this year will be 200 trees! #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice

Mascoutah High School's Future Business Leaders of America had 29 members attend the Illinois Southwestern FBLA Conference at McKendree University. Students competed in business related events and took part in workshops with local business leaders. MHS was well represented receiving seven 1st Place Awards, six 2nd place, and six 3rd place. The MHS and 8th Grade Bands put on an AMAZING holiday concert! The students played a variety of selections and it was an exciting set of music for sure! MHS Beta has been busy this holiday season! Members recently donated toys to Rosebud Indian Reservation, helped at local Santa breakfasts, and baked cookies for airmen. MHS has earned a National Beta School of Merit award for 2022-2023. #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice #19EveryStudent

Mrs. Land's Entrepreneurship class at MHS had some fun participating in the Eggstravagant Eggspedition! They learned about distribution channels and the cost of transporting a product safely from manufacturer to retailer by using an egg as their product. #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice

MHS will hold its 2nd annual Parent Transition Workshop for parents of students in grades 9-12 who hold an IEP. Parents will hear from Mascoutah staff, along with representatives from DRS (Division of Rehabilitation Services), Challenge Unlimited, SWIC, and MERS Goodwill to go over course options and programs that will assist in a smooth transition before, during and after high school graduation. #OneTeamOneTribeOneFamily #19EveryStudent #MHSTheHighSchoolOfChoice

Good Vibe Tribe at MHS donated KINDNESS IS COOL shirts to Cahokia High School, put up positive stickers, collected money for the Human Society, and created a chain of kindness links for Giving Tuesday!
