Each year U.S. News & World Report declares the Top High Schools in Illinois and the United States. MHS has always made a great showing in the standings! But this year is an exception and we have made HISTORY! MHS has been ranked as the 2023-2024 #1 High School in the Illinois Metro East!!!
So much hard work and dedication goes into an achievement of this magnitude! The U.S. News & World Report ranks nearly 18,000 schools across the United States and metro areas. These high schools are judged on factors such as state assessment performance and how well they prepare students for college. While we will continue to chase our goals and increase our capacity in these areas, our school community is definitely making our mark and fulfilling our Vision to be MHS: The High School Of Choice!!!
