
Welcome Mr. Bryan Fenzl to the Mascoutah Elementary School team! Mr. Fenzl will be teaching band at the three elementary schools in the Mascoutah School District this year. Last year he taught music at Wingate Elementary School. Mr. Fenzl grew up in a military family, spending time in California, Japan, and Virginia. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Virginia Tech (music education), and a master of education degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (music education). He has been teaching music of all levels K-12 since 2003, and as a military spouse has taught in 4 states at 11 different schools. Mr. Fenzl currently lives in the area with his wife and 2 sons. In addition to music, he enjoys traveling with his family, watching his boys play soccer, grilling and cooking, college football, and NASCAR. A big welcome back to third grade from Miss Kelsey Dinges! Miss Dinges previously taught third grade at MES for four years before stepping away to pursue a career in coaching. She studied Elementary Education at Miami-Ohio where she also played varsity soccer. Miss Dinges grew up in the Belleville area, and now lives in St. Louis with her fiance, Kyle, and her dog, Cooper. She loves to read, workout, go to STL City games, and spend time with her family. Miss Dinges is looking forward to stepping back into the same third grade classroom with the awesome students and staff at MES! #MESPride


Welcome Miss Darcy Eisenreich to the Mascoutah Elementary School team! Miss Eisenreich is not new to teaching or the Mascoutah School District. While this will be her 6th year of teaching, Miss Eisenreich served as the ELL teacher at WES and SES last year. We are so lucky that she will be working with the ELL students at MES this upcoming year! In her spare time, Miss Eisenreich enjoys going on walks, hanging out with friends and family, and being outside. We are very happy that she will be part of the MES team this year! #MESPride


Welcome to Mrs. Rebecca Ciardelli, one of our new music teachers at Mascoutah Elementary School! This is her 11th year teaching music, and she is coming to us from Honolulu, Hawaii. Originally from the Jersey shore, Mrs. C and her family are looking forward to exploring the midwest for the first time. In her spare time, she is an avid reader, loves to cook, hike, and camp with her family. Mrs. C is looking forward to working with everyone in the MES family! #MESPride


Mascoutah Elementary School is happy to welcome Mrs. Lauren Studley to the MES team as a Gifted Education teacher. Mrs. Studley is not new to the Mascoutah School District as she has served most of her 15 years in education as a 6th grade language arts teacher at Mascoutah Middle School. She has also facilitated and coordinated various enrichment programs for gifted students in grades K-8. Mrs. Studley is excited to work with Mascoutah Elementary School teams and families to provide quality enrichment and extension services for K-5 students!
Mrs. Studley and her husband live in Swansea with their three-year-old daughter, Nora and their 15-month-old son, Hank. They are planning to expand their family by four-paws soon and hope to train a new puppy as a therapy dog! When she’s not chasing after her kiddos, Mrs. Studley enjoys yoga, reading, and baking. She loves to travel and was lucky enough to spend this past summer with extended family relaxing on the beach in South Carolina and seeking adventure in the Rocky Mountains! The Studley family enjoys exploring, and hopes to plan a trip to Disney World in the future. #MESProud



Welcome To Dr. Fowler-Williams who will be joining the fourth grade team at Mascoutah Elementary School! Dr. Williams has been teaching for thirteen years in school districts in Illinois and Missouri. She is a graduate of both McKendree and Lindenwood University. Dr. Williams grew up in Belleville, and currently lives in Belleville with her husband, Derrick, and three children: Martrell (24), (2LT stationed at Luke Air Force Base in AZ), Derrick Jr. (12), and Jamir (8). She enjoys watching her sons Derrick Jr. and Jamir play football and basketball. She loves to shop, travel and spend time with friends and family, including her dog, Polo. Let's welcome Mrs. Kristie Munsie who will be joining our second grade team at Mascoutah Elementary School! Mrs. Munsie is entering her tenth year of teaching, and has served students in Iowa, California, Italy, China, Korea, and Kenya. Mrs. Munsie earned her degree in finance from Toronto Metropolitan University and her Masters in Teaching from the University of Southern California. She was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and became an American citizen in June! Mrs. Munsie and her husband, James, live on Scott AFB with their cat, Nemo. Mrs. Munsie is very excited about being part of the Mascoutah community. It is officially August, and we are excited to share our new teachers and building principal that will be joining the Mascoutah Elementary School staff this year! We would like to welcome Mrs. Michelle Cooley as our new building principal. Mrs. Cooley is not a new face to the Mascoutah School District. During the last three years she has served as Assistant Principal at Mascoutah High School. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University and a Masters in Secondary Education and a Masters of Innovative Leadership and Design from UMSL. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Social Justice from UMSL. This is her 13th year in education, and she has served in several teaching and leadership roles. Mrs. Cooley is originally from Plano, TX, but has resided in Illinois since 2010. She has been married for ten years, and lives in Collinsville, IL with her husband, Derek Cooley. Mrs.Cooley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, leading a Step Aerobics class, and serving the amazing Mascoutah community. She hopes to continue building lasting relationships with the staff, students and families. Let’s give a warm welcome to Mrs. Michelle Cooley! #MESStrong
