This is for rising Juniors and Seniors.  There are structured sessions about application essay writing, an introduction to scholarships and financial aid, and developing leadership skills.  If you attend, you will be a priority for merit scholarships upon admission.

UMSL 2017
Bridge Program Summer Academy-Developed for 9th and 10th grade students.  The Summer Academy is held Monday June 12-July 7, 2017 from 8am-12pm.  The academy offers academic enrichment courses in math, science, written and oral communication, career research, personal and professional development, and college planning.

Murray State Commonwealth Academy 2017
The Commonwealth Honors Academy is an exciting, challenging 3 week academic and personal growth program for outstanding high school students who have completed their junior year.  It offers students a chance to develop lasting relationships with other enthusiastic, energetic students with high intellectual capacities.  You will also earn 6 hours of Murray State college credit in addition to a housing scholarship if you plan to attend Murray State after high school. 
This is for Rising Seniors with a 3.5 GPA or higher and an ACT of 25 or higher (or SAT equivalent).  Other credentials will be needed when you apply.

Commonwealth Honors Academy

Truman Institute Summer Academies, Kirksville, MO
The Summer Talent Academy for Professions in Health (STAPH)
For students in 10th or 11th grade who have a 3.25 GPA and 3.5 GPA in Sciences who are interested in a career in the health professions.  See the attached brochure for details and your counselor for a nomination if interested.

The Zombie Scholars Academy (ZSA)
A week-long summer experience for students in 7th - 11th grade.  See the brochure for details.

This is a three week non-credit bearing program that attracts students who represent the next generation of global citizens.  This program is designed to provide an academic and residential environment through which you will gain a global perspective on multiple areas of interest for young leaders. 

YMCA Metro St. Louis Future Leadership Program (for rising senior females)
FLP is a strength-based, gender specific leadership program for girls about to enter their senior year.  It enables young women to discover, affirm, and enhance their leadership capablities and connect them to resources to further realize their leadership potential.  FLP includes an intensive 5-day summer leadership academy and recognizes one female student as a future leader with a $1500 scholarship.

The University of Alabama

This summer experience allows students to walk on the Quad, take 6-7 hours or credit per summer semester, and make great friends!  The students have shared with UA that the Summer On Campus program challenged them and helped them develop the confidence they need to be successful at a top notch college.  This is open to highly motivated rising Sophomore, Junior and Senior students.  The students need to be able to demonstrate a maturity for vibrant summer college experience.
3.0 GPA or higher
Summer 1 term is May 30-June 29.
Summer 2 term is July 5-August 4

YMCA Future Leaders Program

YWCA Future Leaders Program is a place where girls build sisterhood and together they learn, lead, and live empowered.  It is a strengths-based, leadership development program for girls entering their senior year of high school.  The program creates opportunities for young women to acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to employ leadership rooted in courage, compassion, and perseverance.

IACAC Camp College for Juniors
July 11-14, 2017 (application deadline May 12, 2017)

Camp College is a 4 day, 3 night (FREE) program designed for rising seniors.  Students will be exposed to a variety of college-related topics and learn first-hand from college admissions professionals.  You will learn about the college application process and college search process.  You will learn about writing essays, financial aid process, and many more topics while staying on a college campus.  Click the link below for more information.
